Hiking in Ireland

Ireland really has some of the most picturesque landscape for hiking in the world.

If you enjoy walking as a pastime, then you won't be disappointed here!

The best thing about Ireland is that you have access to many different walk ways, regardless of where you decide to live...

For example:

  • In the east, the Wicklow Mountains

  • In the west, Croagh Patrick

  • In the south, the Cork and Kerry Mountains

  • and...

  • In the north, the Mourne Mountains.

  • Walking is a great way to discover Ireland's nature and enjoy the fresh air.

It is also a great activity to do with friends and to learn about a new country together.

If you want, you can even get a tour guide to lead you along the best routes and maybe learn some extra information about Ireland's history.

Or...if you prefer, you can walk along some less challenging landscape, like the many forest trails in the country.

Ireland has some magnificent forest parks and some wonderful historic sites like 'Newgrange' in Meath.

Whichever you decide, you will certainly be impressed when you walk the Irish landscape!
